Calvin Risk is a Swiss-based start-up helping companies create and manage trustworthy AI that is aligned with humanity. Founded in 2022 as an ETH Zurich spin-off, the company is building the most advanced platform for assessing risks associated with AI in commercial use and managing them throughout the entire product lifecycle. The Calvin platform creates a much-needed framework for transparency, governance, and standardization for enterprises to manage their AI portfolios while ensuring that AI remains safe and compliant with the highest ethical standards and impending regulatory requirements.

 

This is an opportunity to join a start-up at its earliest stages as a Business Development Representative to develop and conduct a comprehensive go-to-market plan. It is a chance to be a key player in driving our sales efforts and establishing strong relationships with potential clients, and an opportunity to develop cutting-edge AI risk assessment & management software. Your Mission

  • Work directly with the Commercial & Customer Success Lead and closely with other team members, including the founders, as well as the product and data science departments
  • Help refine and drive a comprehensive go-to-market strategy
  • Qualify new leads and engage prospects through email, phone, and social media outreach
  • Take ownership of proactive PoC/customer acquisition and build relationships with mid/senior-level executives
  • Work with the marketing team to increase the quantity and quality of leads
  • Maintain accurate customer data and insights in our CRM system to ensure accurate pipeline mapping
  • Manage your own pipeline of qualified and interested customer contacts (B2B)
  • Conduct ongoing market research to stay ahead of the curve and adjust business development approach accordingly
  • Prepare sales decks, client presentations, and other commercial or ad-hoc materials
  • Assist with day-to-day administrative and project-related tasks

 

Your Story

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales, business development, consulting, or similar customer-facing roles
  • Ideally have previous exposure to the B2B SaaS industry
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills across all channels
  • Demonstrate cleverness and pragmatism with a "can-do" attitude – we value the right skills and attitude over certificates
  • Embody an entrepreneurial spirit with a deep passion for driving initiatives from the ground up; previous startup/entrepreneurial experience is highly valuable
  • Demonstrate logical thinking, a willingness to self-learn and conduct research, and a creative approach to problem-solving
  • Embrace a hands-on mentality, finding excitement in both tackling smaller tasks and engaging with high-level strategic endeavors
  • Thrive as a team player – our collaborative approach involves challenging and building upon each other's ideas to realize our vision
  • Exhibit the ability to drive results and operate effectively, showcasing adeptness in navigating ambiguity
